The word crown is derived from the word corona, making the Corona bean the king of beans. It has been a staple of Italian meals for centuries. Often called "the poor man's meat" because of it's rich flavor and tender yet meaty texture, it is an excellent meat substitute or side, and of course, ideal for pasta e fagioli.
